Picking his spots wisely all throughout the tournament, Journeaux climbed through the ranks and amassed a big chip lead when the final table came down to the last three. In the end, he found himself one-on-one against local player Oplong Sinapilo.

With Sinapilo's stack facing an uphill climb against the big stack of Journeaux, the Filipino was forced to make a move and shoved all-in with {10-Spades} {8-Clubs}. Journeaux called and showed {A-Spades} {3-Spades}. He immediately hit on the flop, which came {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {K-Spades}. The {K-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal for Journeaux, crowning him as the champion of Wild ‘N Wet.

Journeaux, a Scottish player who now resides in the Philippines, won Php 137,700 in cash and a Php 11,000 seat to the upcoming Filipino Poker Tour (FPT) five million peso guaranteed event in June. Meanwhile, Sinapilo went home with Php 76,000 in cash as well as a seat to the upcoming FPT event.

The top ten finishers during the tournament also received Php 4,000 vouchers for future tournaments at the Wild Aces poker room.

The Php 500,000 guaranteed The Poker Circuit: Wild ‘N Wet was held at the Wild Aces Poker Sports Club in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, from May 14-16. The event featured a total of 131 entries and 35 add-ons.

Wild ‘N Wet was an Asian Poker Tour (APT) accredited event. Players that cash in will be part of the APT Accredited Events Leaderboard. For more information, click here.
